Guided tour in the historic center of Cagliari and the archaeological site of Nora

Let’s learn about the history of the capital city of Sardinia, Cagliari through a temporal itinerary. Discover its four districts that are still well defined today: Castello, Stampace, Villanova and La Marina. The center also houses the largest Archaeological Museum on the island, full of unique finds that will reveal interesting details about the history of Sardinia.

After free time, you will reach with your guide the archaeological site of Nora, whose mythical foundation is attributed to Norace in the 7th century BC. The site was first settled by the Phoenicians, who as merchants placed Nora at the center of important commercial networks on the routes between the East and the Sardinian coasts. Nora then reached its strategic development with the Punics first and with the Romans to follow, and even today, thanks to current excavation campaigns, it brings to light finds of inestimable value to better understand the ancient past of the island.
